The Hulk In The Grip of Syklop

"The Hulk In The Grip Of Syklop" is the original synopsis text written by Harlan Ellison that was adapted by Roy Thomas into the stories "The Summons Of Psyklop" and "The Brute That Shouted Love At The Heart Of The World" published in 1971 as Avengers #88 and Incredible Hulk #140. At the time of of its publication in Marvelmania #4, the plot had been accepted by Marvel but Thomas had not begun turning it into the comics and there were no announcements on publication. The introduction to the story says "...Ellison, also a reader of Marvelmania Magazine, thought that it would be interesting to publish his synopsis so that it may be compared with the finished product."
