Avengers: A Traitor Stalks Among Us, Epic Collection Vol. 6
Part of Marvel Comics' series of Epic Collections, tradepaperback collections of long runs of their most popular series. This Avengers volume, "A Traitor Stalks Against Us," collected Avengers (1963) #98-114 and Daredevil #99, including Ellison's "Five Dooms To Save Tomorrow" from Avengers #101. This sixth volume of the Avengers collected comics from the years 1972-1973.
From the back cover: "Barry Windsor-Smith joins Roy Thomas for a three-part super-saga that assembles every Avenger from issue #1 to #100 against the combined threat of Ares and the Enchantress! Then, Steve Englehart takes the reins and begins his iconic tenure writing Earth's Mightiest Heroes with an Avengers excursion to the Savage Land, the return of the Black Panther and the traitorous master plan of the Grim Reaper and Space Phantom! Hawkeye quits the team just before Magneto arrives for a fight, and it will take the combined forces of the X-Men, the Avengers and Daredevil to stop him! That's not all: Mantis makes her stunning first appearance; romance blooms between the Vision and Scarlet Witch; the Black Widow returns and the Swordsman joins the ranks of the Avengers!"
"The Epic Collections feature the best characters and stories from Marvel's vast history. Volumes are not published in chronological order—so start your collection today with this edition, and look inside for a complete list of available and upcoming releases!"
Strangely, the Epic Collections use the logo from Marvel's 1980s creator-owned comics line Epic Comics, whose Epic Illustrated first printed Ken Steacy's adapatations of Ellison's Night and the Enemy stories.
