Harlan Ellison Talks About Weariness

An afterword, which HE jokes is "a thousand times longer than the story itself," to the story "Weariness." In it Ellison discusses his relationship to Ray Bradbury, referring to them as "brothers," and some of their disagreements, primarily what awaits us after death. He doesn't discuss the origin of the story, other than referring to it as "perhaps my last-published story," and doesn't mention the painting it is inspired by. The text is an edited version of what originally appeared in the short story collection Shadow Show: All-New Stories in Celebration of Ray Bradbury (William Morrow, 2012).
